On July 16 th municipal employees Jim Nyssen, Jamie Reis and Erik Ramaker represented South Huron in the 2019 Huron County Safety Truck Roadeo. In its 26 th year, this event promotes safety, courtesy and professional driving skills in a challenging competition. This is the first time South Huron staff have competed in the event.

Until further notice, the Municipality of South Huron has closed the Centralia Community Hall. This decision was based on information received from the Fire Prevention Officer after a safety inspection identified several fire code violations. Due to the nature of the violations, Centralia Hall must be closed immediately to ensure public safety.

On Monday, July 1 st at 1:00 PM Mayor George Finch officially opened the Exeter & District Pool as part of Canada Day in South Huron celebrations. A brief ribbon cutting event was held to acknowledge the supporters of the pool renovation project.
