Pursuant to Section 34 of The Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990

Re:      Zoning By-Law Amendment Application File #: Z09-2020

Please be advised that a public meeting to consider the above noted application will be held on:

Monday, October 19th, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.

Purpose and Effect

This By-law affects the property legally described as Part Lot 1016, Plan 376, Exeter Ward, Municipality of South Huron and is municipally known as 327 Thames Road East.                                                                                                                                                   

The lands to be rezoned are currently zoned M1 (Light Industrial) in the South Huron Zoning By-law and are proposed to be rezoned to M1-11 (Light Industrial – Special Zone) to permit a veterinary clinic on the property.

Public meetings are being held electronically in response to the current situation.

Persons wishing toparticipate in the planning process are strongly encouraged to send their comments, questions or concerns via email, mail or telephone to Craig Metzger, Planner at cmetzger@huroncounty.ca (1-888-524-8394 ext. 3235) or to Alex Wolfe, Deputy Clerk at  awolfe@southhuron.ca (519-235-0310).

If hand delivering documents please insert at the drop box located by the front door of the municipal office: 322 Main Street South, Exeter, ON, N0M 1S6, Attention: Clerk

Written submissions should be sent to the attention of the Deputy Clerk, and received no later than noon on October 19, 2020.

For those persons who wish to participate orally at the hearing, there is an option to join the electronic hearing; please contact the Deputy Clerk directly for a specific meeting invitation: at awolfe@southhuron.ca (519-235-0310). Those who wish to participate orally are to contact the Deputy Clerk no later than 4 p.m. on October 19, 2020.

Please note that comments and opinions submitted on these matters, including the originator’s name and address, become part of the public record and may be viewed by the general public and maybe published in a Planning Report, Council Agenda or Council Minutes.

If any member of the public would like to be notified in writing of the decision on the application they are to provide their name and mailing address to the Clerk via email, mail or telephone.

Changes to the Municipal Act allows members of councils and committees to participate in open and closed meetings electronically and be counted for purposes of quorum during emergencies declared locally or provincially under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act. If the emergency declaration is terminated before the hearing, the public meeting would then be held in the South Huron Council Chambers, 322 Main Street South, Exeter at the time noted on the agenda.
