Following guidance of the Province of Ontario and the Huron Perth Public Health , the Municipality of South Huron is continuing to implement its reopening plan.

In coordination with the municipalities of South Huron and Bluewater, the OPP has closed Waterworks Road near Grand Bend under authority of the Highway Traffic Act. Out of concern for public safety due to overcrowding, Waterworks Road will remain closed to the public until further notice.
As a reminder, Port Blake Day Park remains closed to the public for the 2020 season and all visitors to South Huron are required to follow the public safety guidelines issued by Huron...

Huron County (July 20, 2020) – On July 8, 2020, the Huron County Fire Chiefs declared an open air fire ban in Huron County. As of July 20, 2020 conditions have improved enough and the open air burning ban issued July 8, 2020 has been lifted effective immediately.

Following a powerful wind storm on July 19, municipal staff have been responding to downed trees and blocked roadways across the municipality. All municipal roadways are now cleared; however, Waterloo Street in Exeter from Main Street South to Carling Street will remain closed overnight until Hyrdo One crews can safely address power line issues.
