Lowering of water level at MacNaughton Park Dam

A structural inspection of the MacNaughton Park Dam is required every five years and is due to be performed this year. In order to carry out this work, it is necessary to lower the water level in the reservoir. Starting on August 13, 2021 the drain valve will be opened to lower the reservoir water level. Once the level is lowered sufficiently, the inspection of the structure will take place and the reservoir will be slowly refilled. Depending on weather conditions, it is expected that the reservoir will be back to its normal level in a couple of weeks.
