Please be advised that the Municipality of South Huron Committee of Adjustment will hold a public hearing on:

 

Monday July 12th, 2021 at 5:00 p.m.

Purpose and Effect

A replacement detached garage is proposed to be built on the subject lands. The garage is proposed to be larger and closer to the east interior side yard than currently permitted. As result, this application proposes to vary Sections 3.2.4 and 3.2.5 of the South Huron Zoning By-law to reduce the minimum required east interior side yard for the proposed garage from 1.2 metres to 0.348 metres, including the eaves, and increase the total maximum permitted area of all accessory buildings on the property from 50% to 80% of the house area and from 10% to 11% of the property area.

Written submissions should be sent to the attention of the Planning Assistant, and received no later than noon on Monday July 12th, 2021.

For those persons who wish to participate orally at the hearing, there is an option to join the electronic hearing; please contact the Planning Assistant  directly for a specific meeting invitation: at planning@southhuron.ca (519-235-0310). Those who wish to participate orally are to contact the Planning Assistant no later than 4 p.m. on Monday July 12th, 2021.

Please note that comments and opinions submitted on these matters, including the originator’s name and address, become part of the public record and may be viewed by the general public and maybe published in a Planning Report, Council Agenda or Council Minutes.

If any member of the public would like to be notified in writing of the decision on the application they are to provide their name and mailing address to the Planning Assistant via email, mail or telephone.

If you rent your property to seven (7) or more tenants, please post a copy of this notice in a location on your property which is visible to all of the residents.

Appeals

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Municipality of South Huron Committee of Adjustmentbefore the minor variance is granted, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Municipality of South Huron to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Municipality of South HuronCommittee of Adjustment before the minor variance is granted, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeals Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Local Planning Appeals Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
