Due to COVID-19, we have complied a list of stay at home activities. Please visit our Online Programs page to find out more. This page is updated frequently. 

Karate

Rocky Pine Karate

Age appropriate programs specifically designed for children with emphasis places on traditional Martial arts values in a non-competitive and safe environment.

All classes are held at South Huron Recreation Centre.

Exeter Karate

Excellent fitness and self-defense training program in karate and weapons. Suited for those 6 years to adult. Operate year round on Tuesday and Thursday.

Pickleball

Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong with holes. 

All pickleball play is a municipal-led rec activity and is inclusive to all ages and skills. 

 

Pickleball is now on the hall floor. The outdoor court has closed for the season

  • Monday AM/Wednesday AM- Non competitive (beginners)
  • Tuesday AM/Thursday AM - Competitive 

Registration is required. There are two time slots available (8:00am - 9:30am, 10:00am-11:30am, 1:00pm- 2:30pm). Each time slot has a maximum of 10 players. 

 

Every player is required to fill out a COVID-19 Screening Form before entering the building. 

 

Be advised that enhanced safety measures are in effect as required by the Medical Officer of Health for Huron Perth:

  1. Face coverings are required in the foyer. You may remove them once you are in play.
  2. Please bring your own mask.

A few other notes:

  1. Please enter through the left hand set of doors at the front of the Rec Centre.
  2. You are required to hand sanitize on the way into the facility.
  3. Please follow the lines/markers on the floor.
  4. There is no loitering before or after play.
  5. Staff will not have additional paddles to supply to players.
  6. Nets will be set up, please do not take them down.
  7. Washrooms with an entrance from the foyer area are available to the public.
  8. The hall will have a maximum of 45 people at any given time.
  9. Please disinfect Pickleballs and chairs between uses (hand sanitizer and disinfectant will be provided)

Stay home if you can answer yes to any of the following questions:

  1. Fever or chills
  2. Cough
  3. Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  4. Fatigue
  5. Muscle or body aches
  6. Headache
  7. New loss of taste or smell
  8. Sore throat
  9. Congestion or runny nose
  10. Nausea or vomiting
  11. Diarrhea
