July 14, 2025 Council Meeting Highlights

At its Regular Meeting on July 14, 2025, South Huron Council:

·       Received staff reports on topics including:

o   Building and Planning Second Quarter Activity

§  A total of 50 permits were issued in the second quarter with an accumulative construction value of $12,628,400.00

§  Updated information on the status of active subdivisions can be found on the municipal website: https://www.southhuron.ca/build-invest/planning-and-development/active-subdivisions/

o   2025 Capital Progress Report – June 2025. The purpose of this quarterly report is to track progress on capital projects planned or underway in South Huron

o   2025 Council Expenses as of June 30, 2025

o   2nd Quarter By-Law Enforcement and Requests for Service

o   Coates Municipal Drain 2025 – Appeals to Tribunal

o   Tender Awards

§  South Huron Recreation Centre Rooftop HVAC Replacement Project - accepted the tender received from Jaydens Mechanical LTD in the amount of $53,199.48 (excluding HST)

§  Stephen Arena Compressor 1 Replacement Project Tender Award - accepted the tender received from Clauger Canada Inc in the amount of $69,850.00 (excluding HST)

§  Playground Replacement Project Tender Award - awarded the Request for Proposal received from Blue Imp Co to the upset limit of $167,336.00 (excluding HST); and approved the addition of the fence on the east and south side of the playground in the amount of $5,200.00 (excluding HST)

§  Gore Road Watermain Replacement Tender Award - accepted the tender received from St. Clair Mechanical Inc. and authorized award of a contract in the amount of $1,181,001.53 (including HST)

§  Hill Municipal Drain 2025 Tender Award - awarded the tender for construction and improvement of the Hill Municipal Drain 2025 to A.G Hayter Contracting Ltd in the amount of $66,983.00 plus HST
