Elliott Park and the Elliott Park Dumping Station

Elliott Park and the Elliott Park dumping station will not be available in 2026. The section of William Street where the dumping station is located is needed to support reconstruction work along Main Street. Thank you for your patience.

Service Disruptions due to Air Quality

Update: With the air quality still poor, we're cancelling pool and Port Blake Operations for the rest of today, July 16, 2026. We hope conditions improve and we can get back to normal tomorrow.
South Huron is ceasing all outdoor operations for the morning of July 16 due to ongoing poor air quality conditions. Cancelled services include:
• Exeter Pool
• Kirkton Pool
• Victoria Park Wading Pool
• Port Blake Day Park
The air quality conditions will be reassessed throughout the morning to determine if operations can resume for the afternoon. Please check our website for updates.
Note that sports fields (ball diamonds, soccer fields) parks and playgrounds remain open for use by user groups and individuals. However, South Huron is advising the public to follow the information and advice of Huron Perth Public Health on outdoor activities during an air quality warning:
As a reminder, the following indoor public facitiles continue to be available as cooling spaces
• Exeter and Kirkton Woodham libraries (see Huron County Library for hours of operation)
• Town Hall (8:30 – 4:30PM, Monday-Friday)
• South Huron Rec Centre (8:30 – 4:30PM, Monday-Friday)
