Municipal Services Update: December 6, 2024

The South Huron Landfill has reopened to the public for regular hours.

All municipal facilities, including Town Hall, South Huron Rec Centre and Stephen Township Arena are open for regular hours.

The Significant Weather Event declaration remains in effect for municipal roads and sidewalks, which suspends the standard timelines required for municipalities to meet their winter maintenance objectives until the municipality declares the significant weather event has ended. Staff continue to perform winter maintenance activities though it may take longer than usual to restore roads and sidewalks to the normal condition. Travellers are advised to use caution.
