Victoria St E Reconstruction Project-Weekly Update July 25, 2025

The Contractor has completed placing topsoil in the boulevards between Main Street and the pillars. Temporary watermain east of the pillars was successfully commissioned and placed in service. Installation of new watermain has commenced. Work on the new South Huron Recreation Centre entrance continues, including new services to SHRC.

 Next week the Contractor will complete the installation of the new watermain east of the pillars, including trenchless installation of the watermain from the end of Victoria Street to Pryde Blvd. Construction of the gravel road base east of the pillars is expected to be completed.

 Victoria Street is closed to through traffic from Main Street to the east end of Victoria Street. Access to the Relouw Early Childhood Learning Centre will be maintained through the South Huron Recreation Centre property. Access to the Exeter Public School and recreation facilities at the east end of Victoria Street is limited. Your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated.
