Victoria St E Reconstruction Project-Weekly Update August 15, 2025

The Contractor has completed testing and commissioning the new watermain east of the pillars to Pryde Boulevard. Final watermain connections have been completed and the temporary watermain decommissioned and removed. Installation of curbs east of the pillars and in the new South Huron Recreation Centre entrance is complete. Grading for sidewalk installation is underway.

 Next week the contractor is scheduled to complete the sidewalk east of the pillars and in the SHRC entrance. The new pedestrian crosswalk hardware is also scheduled to be installed next week. Fine grading the roadway and placing base asphalt is scheduled for the week of August 25^th.

 Victoria Street is closed to through traffic from Main Street to the east end of Victoria Street. Access to the Relouw Early Childhood Learning Centre will be maintained through the South Huron Recreation Centre property. Access to the Exeter Public School and recreation facilities at the east end of Victoria Street is limited. Your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated.
