Main Street South Reconstruction Project-Weekly Update April 10, 2026

Work commenced this week with the installation of traffic control signage, truck detour, and start of the temporary watermain installation. Next week the contractor is scheduled to start storm sewer work at the Ausable River just downstream of the bridge. Installation of the temporary watermain will continue and preliminary work will commence on a sanitary sewage bypass to facilitate installation of a manhole on the trunk sewer in the intersection of Main and Church Street.

Please note that Elliott Park remains closed for the duration of the project.
