Main Street South Reconstruction Project-Weekly Update May 8, 2026

This week the contractor completed sanitary sewer installation on Main Street from Church to Hill Street. Next week the contractor will continue sanitary sewer installation on Main Street heading south towards Wellington. Detour for southbound traffic will remain in place on Church and William Street until construction is complete on the west side of Main Street. Northbound traffic is currently being detoured onto Wellington Street to Andrew Street to Hill Street, then back onto Main Street. Sidewalk on east side of Main Street and east side of the bridge, will remain open during this phase of construction.

 Businesses remain open during construction; access to homes and businesses will be reasonably maintained throughout construction. With traffic disrupted and detours in place, please expect delays and plan accordingly.
