Main Street South Reconstruction Project-Weekly Update May 29, 2026

This week the contractor completed the main line sanitary sewer installation; and continued storm sewer installation from Church Street to Hill Street. Next week the contractor will continue the installation of the sanitary services and continue the storm sewer installation heading towards Wellington Street. Road work is planned to commence next week with excavation to subgrade and placing granular road base starting at Church and Main Street. Northbound traffic (one lane) will remain on Main Street; and southbound traffic will continue to be detoured onto Church and William Street until construction is complete on the west side of Main Street. 

Businesses remain open during construction; access to homes and businesses will be reasonably maintained throughout construction. With traffic disrupted and detours in place, please expect delays and plan accordingly. Your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated.”
