Main Street South Reconstruction Project-Weekly Update June 26, 2026

This week the contractor continued installation of catchbasins, storm services, and sanitary services. Road work commenced at Church Street with excavation to subgrade and placing granular road base. Next week the contractor will complete the installation of catchbasins, storm services and sanitary services on the west side of Main Street. Road work will continue with excavation to subgrade and placing granular road base in preparation for new concrete curb on the west side of Main Street. Northbound traffic (one lane) will remain on Main Street; and southbound traffic will continue to be detoured onto Church and William Street until construction is complete on the west side of Main Street.

Businesses remain open during construction; access to homes and businesses will be reasonably maintained throughout construction. With traffic disrupted and detours in place, please expect delays and plan accordingly.
