Victoria St E Reconstruction Project-Weekly Update May 16, 2025

Construction continued this week with installation of the storm and sanitary connections in the Main and Victoria Street intersection, including placement of temporary asphalt. Sanitary sewer work continued between Main and Andrew Street. Installation of the temporary watermain is complete and undergoing testing and commissioning.

 Next week the contractor will continue the installation of the sanitary sewer, including services, from Main Street to the pillars east of Andrew Street. Upon successful commissioning of the temporary watermain, customers will be switched over to the temporary watermain.

 Victoria Street is closed to through traffic from Main Street to the pillars east of Andrew Street. Access to   facilities east of the pillars will be maintained through the South Huron Recreation Centre property.
