Main Street South Reconstruction Project-Weekly Update July 3, 2026

This week the contractor completed installation of catchbasins, storm services, and sanitary services on the west side of Main Street. Road work continued with excavation to subgrade and placing granular road base. Next week the contractor will continue road work with excavation to subgrade and placing granular road base in preparation for new concrete curb on the west side of Main Street. Please note that the intersection of Victoria and Main Street will be closed Monday and Tuesday to complete road sub-excavation and granular base in the intersection. Northbound traffic (one lane) will remain open on Main Street; and southbound traffic will continue to be detoured onto Church and William Street until construction is complete on the west side of Main Street.

 Businesses remain open during construction; access to homes and businesses will be reasonably maintained throughout construction. With traffic disrupted and detours in place, please expect delays and plan accordingly.
