Main Street South Reconstruction Project-Weekly Update July 31, 2026

This week the contractor completed restoration work on the west side of the roadway and switched traffic onto the new asphalt on the west side of Main Street. Next week the contractor will commence work on the east side of Main Street, between Victoria and Wellington Street, with removals, watermain installation, and installation of services. One lane of traffic in both directions will remain on Main Street until completion of all work on the east side of the roadway.

Businesses remain open during construction; access to homes and businesses will be reasonably maintained throughout construction. With traffic disrupted and detours in place, please expect delays and plan accordingly. Your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated.
