Main Street South Reconstruction Project-Weekly Update August 7, 2026

This week the contractor commenced work on the east side of Main Street, between Victoria and Wellington Street, with removals, watermain installation, and installation of services. Next week the contractor will continue work on the east side of Main Street, completing the underground infrastructure in each block and restoring the road to granular base level. One lane of traffic in both directions will remain on Main Street until completion of all work on the east side of the roadway.

 Businesses remain open during construction; access to homes and businesses will be reasonably maintained throughout construction. With traffic disrupted and lanes reduced, please expect delays and plan accordingly. Your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated.
