Main Street South Reconstruction Project-Weekly Update August 28, 2026

This week the contractor continued work on the east side of Main Street, between Victoria and Wellington Street, with removals, watermain installation, and installation of services. Next week the contractor will complete work to base gravel on the east side of Main Street between Victoria and Wellington Street and commence work on the next block between Wellington and Hill Street. One lane of traffic in both directions will remain on Main Street until completion of all work on the east side of the roadway.

Businesses remain open during construction; access to homes and businesses will be reasonably maintained throughout construction. With traffic disrupted and lanes reduced, please expect delays and plan accordingly. Your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated.
