Main Street South Reconstruction Project-Weekly Update September 25, 2026

This week the contractor completed the installation of watermain, services, and granular road base on the east side of Main Street between Wellington Street and Hill Street. Work commenced on the watermain installation between Hill Street and MacNaughton Drive. Stringline for curb installation on the east side of Main Street is anticipated as early as Friday of next week. One lane of traffic in both directions will remain on Main Street until completion of all work on the east side of the roadway.

 Businesses remain open during construction; access to homes and businesses will be reasonably maintained throughout construction. With traffic disrupted and lanes reduced, please expect delays and plan accordingly. Your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated.
