Main Street South Reconstruction Project-Weekly Update October 9, 2026

This week the contractor completed the installation of watermain, services, and granular road base on the east side of Main Street. Watermain commissioning is scheduled to commence today and continue next week. After successful commissioning, service transfers and watermain tie-ins could start as early as next week. Stringline for the new curb on the east side of Main Street was setup today; and curb installation is scheduled to commence next week. One lane of traffic in both directions will remain on Main Street until completion of all work on the east side of the roadway.

Businesses remain open during construction; access to homes and businesses will be reasonably maintained throughout construction. With traffic disrupted and lanes reduced, please expect delays and plan accordingly. Your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated.
