Main Street South Reconstruction Project-Weekly Update October 16, 2026

This week the contractor completed the curb installation on the east side of Main Street; continued granular road base preparation; and commenced watermain commissioning. Watermain tie-ins and service transfers will be carried out next week, after successful watermain commissioning. Base asphalt on the east side of Main Street will be placed after completion of all watermain work; with sidewalks scheduled immediately thereafter. One lane of traffic in both directions will remain on Main Street until completion of all work on the east side of the roadway.

Businesses remain open during construction; access to homes and businesses will be reasonably maintained throughout construction. With traffic disrupted and lanes reduced, please expect delays and plan accordingly. Your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated.
