Main Street South Reconstruction Project-Weekly Update October 30, 2026

This week the contractor completed the remaining water service transfers and continued the installation of new sidewalks, and concrete boulevard, with the majority of the east side complete. Next week, work will continue on the sidewalks, concrete boulevards, and the final watermain tie-in at Church Street. Driveway paving and any remaining base asphalt road cuts are scheduled to be completed next week. One lane of traffic in both directions will continue on Main Street until completion of the project; with the potential for a single-day detour onto William Street (if required).

Businesses remain open during construction; access to homes and businesses will be reasonably maintained throughout construction. With traffic disrupted and lanes reduced, please expect delays and plan accordingly. Your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated.
