Main Street South Reconstruction Project-Weekly Update November 6, 2026

This week the contractor completed the new sidewalks, concrete boulevards and final watermain tie-in at Church Street. Work continued on preparation for restoration of asphalt driveways and landscaped areas behind the sidewalk. Next week the remaining restoration work is scheduled to be completed, including paving driveways, base asphalt road cuts, and placing sod. One lane of traffic in both directions will continue on Main Street until completion of the project.

 Businesses remain open during construction; access to homes and businesses will be reasonably maintained throughout construction. With traffic disrupted and lanes reduced, please expect delays and plan accordingly. Your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated.
