Notice of Passing of Municipal-Wide Development Charges By-Law

Take Notice that the Council of the Municipality of South Huron passed municipal-wide development charges By-Law No. 41-2026 on the 13th day of July, 2026 under section 2 (1) of the Development Charges Act, 1997, S.O., 1997 c.27, as amended; and

Take Notice that any person or organization may appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal under section 14 of the Act, in respect of the development charges by-law, by filing with the Clerk of the Municipality of South Huron on or before August 24, 2026, a notice of appeal.

A Notice of Appeal must:

  • be in the prescribed form provided by the Ontario Land Tribunal;
  • set out the objection to the by-law and the reasons in support of the objection; and
  • be accompanied by the applicable filing fee required by the Tribunal.

Appeals may be filed electronically through the Ontario Land Tribunal e-file service at:
https://olt.gov.on.ca/e-file-service/, or at the Municipal Office, 322 Main Street South, Exeter, N0M 1S6.

The schedule of development charges imposed by the by-law, which come into effect on January 1, 2027 is as follows:

No key map has been provided as the by-law applies to all lands located within the Municipality of South Huron. A copy of the complete by-law is available for examination at the Municipality of South Huron municipal office, 322 Main St. S, Exeter, Ontario N0M 1S6 during regular business hours (weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) excluding statutory holidays.
