Public invited to comment on Development Charges Background Study

The Municipality of South Huron is undertaking a Development Charges (DC) Background Study in accordance with the Development Charges Act, 1997. The study will inform the proposed development charges by-law and identify growth-related capital costs for municipal services.

The public is invited to review the study and provide input during the consultation period from December 31, 2025 to February 28, 2026.

How to participate:
• Review the background study on our Development Charges Background Study project page

• Submit written comments by February 28, 2026 to dc@southhuron.ca

• Attend the public meeting, tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at South Huron Town Hall

All comments received will be considered by Council prior to the adoption of a new development charges by-law, which is tentatively scheduled for Monday, March 16, 2026
