Please note that at this time, issuance of marriage licences and performance of civil marriage ceremonies has been temporarily suspended. Please see our COVID-19 page for available services.

Applying for a Marriage Licence

A marriage licence is valid for use anywhere in Ontario and expires three months after the date of issue. Please complete the Marriage Licence Application Form before you bring it to the Municipal Office for the Clerk's signature - we recommend you make an appointment to ensure the Clerk is available.

The Municipal Clerk acts as a Division Registrar reporting to the Office of the Registrar General for the Province of Ontario.

Civil Marriages

Civil marriages allow you to personalize your wedding ceremony, making it as simple or as special as you wish. If you are interested in a civil marriage, please contact us for a copy of the service guidelines and a Marriage Officiant Booking Agreement Form.
