In the Municipality of South Huron we have many parks. We hope that everyone can work together to keep the parks clean, safe and enjoyable to visit. Please contact Community Services if you notice any hazards at 519-235-2833. We are thank you for your help and support. 

Parks in Exeter
MacNaughton Park
  • Located on the east side of Main Street Exeter at the dam on the Ausable River
  • Covered pavilion with hydro service and children's play area located nearby
  • In the winter the pavilion turns into an outdoor skating rink
  • The head of the South Huron Trail is located at MacNaughton Park. This walking trail travels along the Ausable river, and bridges allow you to cross over to Lions Park and return back to MacNaughton Park
Elliott Park
  • Located at 12 Church Street, on the west side of Main Street Exeter along the Ausable River
  • 3-night (max.) camping permitted without camping permits for a $5.00 nightly fee
  • Portable toilet supplied in summer months, includes dumping station
  • Potable water available
  • Maintained by the Ausable River Nomads, members of the Family Campers & RVers and the Municipality of South Huron 
Victoria Park 
  • Located at Huron Street West between Carling and Market Streets
  • Pavilon and childrens play equipment available
  • Wading pool operates from July 1st through to the end of August
Lions Park
  • Located along the Ausable River running through Exeter
  • Perfect location for wedding photos
Main Street Parkette
  • Beautiful area in the middle of downtown Exeter with benches, shade trees and pavilion.
Motz Park
  • A peaceful spot for a rest off of Motz Boulevard/Pryde Boulevard
Port Blake Park & Beach
  • Located at the corner of Bluewater Highway (Hwy 21) and Dashwood Road (Hwy 83) beside the Lake Huron Water Supply System
  • Public access to the beach
  • Park in operation from Victoria Day weekend to Labour Day weekend
  • Picnic shelter, BBQs, playground equipment, washrooms, and change room facilities
  • Parking passes can be purchased at the admission gate
Crediton Community Sportsplex
  • 38 Victoria Avenue, Crediton
  • Located beside the Crediton Community Centre
  • A baseball diamond and pavilion complete with accessible washrooms
  • Children's play structure available for families to enjoy
Morrison Dam Conservation Area
  • Located 2 kilometers east of Exeter on Morrison Line
  • Operated by the Ausable River Conservation Authority
  • Visitors can enjoy canoeing, fishing, picnicking, birdwatching, and hiking 
MacNaughton-Morrison Trail

The MacNaughton-Morrison Trail links with the Morrison Dam Conservation Area to create the 8-kilometre South Huron Trail. The trail is supported by many local groups and the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Foundation.
