Parks in Exeter
MacNaughton Park
  • Located on the east side of Main Street Exeter at the dam on the Ausable River
  • Covered pavilion with hydro service and children's play area located nearby
  • The head of the South Huron Trail is located at MacNaughton Park. This walking trail travels along the Ausable river, and bridges allow you to cross over to Lions Park and return back to MacNaughton Park
Elliott Park
  • Located at 12 Church Street, on the west side of Main Street Exeter along the Ausable River
  • Elliott Park operates annually from the Friday of Victoria Day long weekend to Thanksgiving Monday, weather permitting.
  • It is important to review the Elliott Park Policy By-law for full details on permitted uses of the park, prior to arrival.  
  • Eight (8) campsites available on a first come, first serve basis (no reservations). Maximum of three (3) consecutive nights, no more than twice per month.
    • Tenting is not allowed, except a maximum of two tents tied to a trailer.
    • A maximum of eight people per campsite.
    • Quiet hours are in effect from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. - no objectionable disturbance or unreasonable noise will be allowed at any time. 
    • Small cooking fires are permitted in the designated areas only and are not permitted between the quiet hours of 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
    • Campers are responsible for removing their own garbage for the site.
  • Potable water and dumping station available.
Victoria Park 
  • Located at Huron Street West between Carling and Market Streets
  • Pavilion and children's play equipment available
  • Wading pool operates from July 1st through to the end of August
Lions Park
  • Located along the Ausable River running through Exeter
  • Perfect location for wedding photos
Main Street Parkette
  • Beautiful area in the middle of downtown Exeter with benches, shade trees and pavilion.
Motz Park
  • A peaceful spot for a rest off of Motz Boulevard/Pryde Boulevard
Port Blake Day Park 
  • Located at 71111 Bluewater Highway (Hwy 21), Grand Bend
  • Open Daily 8 am to 10 pm May 15 - Sept 15
  • $30.00/vehicle flat daily rate 
  • No cash accepted, debit only
  • Washroom, picnic tables, pavilion and garbage receptacles provided 
  • No Bus's or Recreational Vehicles (RV's) over 28 ft 

Rules to Guide and Assist You While Enjoying Our Park

  • Pets must be on a leash, please stop and scoop. 
  • No alcohol
  • No camping (all vehicles must leave park area by 10 PM)
  • Fires in provided receptacles only
  • Visitors may bring their own BBQs
  • No rowdy behaviour or loud music
  • No fireworks
  • No glass containers 
  • Park only in designated area
  • Place garbage in provided containers 

South Huron residents are eligible to receive a free pass to Port Blake

Crediton Community Sportsplex
  • 38 Victoria Avenue, Crediton
  • Located beside the Crediton Community Centre
  • A baseball diamond and pavilion complete with accessible washrooms
  • Children's play structure available for families to enjoy
Morrison Dam Conservation Area
MacNaughton-Morrison Trail

The MacNaughton-Morrison Trail links with the Morrison Dam Conservation Area to create the 8-kilometre South Huron Trail. The trail is supported by many local groups and the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Foundation.
