Procedural By-Law Review (2025)

Opportunities for Public Input

As part of the review, we're asking for your input. Take an online survey by December 31, 2025 to help us understand your experience with Council and Committee meetings.

Please note that comments and opinions submitted on these matters, including the originator’s name and address, become part of the public record and may be viewed by the general public and may be published in a Report, Council Agenda or Council Minutes.

Overview

We are reviewing our Procedural By-Law. This By-Law outlines the rules for calling meetings (notice requirements, date, time and location), the conduct of members, public participation, voting procedures, and how the Municipality communicates the meeting information to the public.

The review is being completed in a phased approach to include consultation from members of Council, staff, colleagues from surrounding municipalities, and to obtain feedback from members of the public.
