2025 Water and Wastewater Rate Study
Overview
Information about the current water and wastewater rates charged to customers is available on our Drinking Water, Wastewater & Drainage page.
The purpose of this study is to update these rates on a five-year cycle using an updated capital forecast and growth projection, and the study will include two components:
• Water and Wastewater Rate Study; and
• Water Financial Plan as required under Ontario Regulation (O.Reg. 453/07)
This rate study will inform the updating of the Municipality’s Water and Wastewater Rates and Charges By-law (By-law 66-2021).

Project Approval
The Municipality of South Huron retained Watson and Associates Ltd at the August 12, 2024 Regular Council Meeting to complete a study that will update the water and wastewater rates and charges bylaw (By-law 66-2021) with current financial information and capital forecasts.
