Section 5.1 of the Municipal Conflict of Interest Act requires a member of Council to file a written statement after disclosure of a pecuniary interest under section 5 of the Act.

The Municipal Conflict of Interest Act requires all municipalities to establish and maintain a registry of all declarations made by members of Council under the Act. The registry must include the original written declaration provided by the member of Council and must be available to the public. Verbal declarations are recorded and published as part of the minutes of each meeting. The Municipal Conflict of Interest Act requires Members to submit a written declaration in addition to making a verbal declaration.

Description of Data

The declaration data for an agenda item becomes available when the minutes for a meeting have been published and there can be a delay of several days after a meeting before this data becomes available

The following is a registry of written disclosures of interest as of January 1, 2018.

Registry

As per 6.1(1) of the Act, every municipality and local board shall establish and maintain a registry. As per 6.1(2), the registry shall be available for public inspection in the manner and during the time that the municipality or local board, as the case may be, may determine. The registry will be posted at the bottom of this page and contain each declaration.
