B Line Culvert Replacement
Overview
The B Line Culvert Replacement Project is an important infrastructure project in the Municipality of South Huron's 2026 Capital Plan and will see the replacement of a concrete culvert on B Line north east of Grand Bend. The existing culvert is need of replacement. The culvert is the second of three culverts on B Line requiring reconstruction before the road can be resurfaced in the future. The construction process will start with the removal of the existing structure. The new structure will be built with cast in place concrete. Once the concrete as properly cured, the structure will be backfilled and the disturbed road will be repaved.

Project Location
The culvert is located on B Line, just south of Gore Road over the Webb Drain.
Access the Huron County Playhouse, Grand Bend Stirling Sands Vinyard, and Runaway Kitchen via Grand Bend Line (County Rd. 81).

Project Timeline
The road will be closed July 15, 2026 at the construction site for an estimated 6-8 weeks to accommodate the work. All driveways will be accessible from their respective sides of the culvert. Some preliminary work will take place on site prior to July 15 but will not impact traffic.
Please note the construction timeline is restricted by the in-water work permit through the Ministry of Natural Resources.
