Multi-Year Accessibility Plan and Compliance Reporting
Under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) South Huron is required to plan and implement a multi-year accessibility plan.
South Huron is a member of the Huron County Accessibility Advisory Committee (HCAAC) and has adopted Huron County's Multi-Year Accessibility Plan.
The Municipality of South Huron prepared a report to Council outlining 2023 updates and progress on the AODA Regulations.
Conservation and Demand Management Plans
Ontario Regulation 507/18 (Broader Public Sector: Energy Reporting and Conservation and Demand Management Plans) requires public organizations including municipalities to submit a report on or before July 1st on their annual energy usage and GHG emissions for their owned facilities that have conditioned spaces (i.e. from heating and cooling).
Ontario Regulation 507/18 (Broader Public Sector: Energy Reporting and Conservation and Demand Management Plans) also requires municipalities to submit a Conservation and Demand Management plan every 5 years.
